South African hydration is one of the most competitive categories in e-commerce. The big players spend aggressively, bid high, and dominate the auction. When you can't outspend the competition — and Kokee can't — you have to outsmart them.

Kokee makes natural, zero-sugar electrolyte hydration. Powder-and-scoop, everyday format — not the kind marketed at elite athletes with neon packaging. The kind you mix into a glass of water before work, or into your kid's bottle before school. People who try it, love it. The product has retail placement in Faithful to Nature and Wellness Warehouse. The challenge is the market.

In that time: 'Naartjie & Strawberry' video hit 5.26× ROAS with 50 purchases from R7,000 in spend — the kind of creative efficiency that only appears when the angle is exactly right. October 2025 was the strongest month: 89 purchases at 3.96× ROAS. A week where cost per purchase dropped from R500 to R199. Revenue climbed 41% in February alone.

A single ad hit 27× ROAS on a Tuesday. That number isn't a typo — it's what happens in a short attribution window when a winning creative meets a warm audience that's ready to buy.

The process is deliberate. We restructured the entire account — shifted from warm-only targeting that had exhausted itself to a proper broad prospecting and retargeting architecture.
